Talent Show

It’s that time of year again for the Talent Show!  This is a great opportunity for children to get on stage and show off their abilities and talents!   We will hold practices before the show.  The meeting place for the practices is in the gym at 1:15 sharp.  From there students are divided into groups based on their act and taken by parent volunteers and/or teachers to various locations of the school to practice.  This all culminates in a final show to be held on Wednesday May 14th at 9:30 a.m. in the Bennett gym.  If you are able to volunteer your time to help with the practices, we would greatly appreciate it!  We can’t do it without parent help.

*You must fill out a permission and information form and return to your child’s teacher BEFORE the first practice.

Below is a list of requirements / restrictions as well as the schedule of practices.  Students can do an act individually or with a group.

·        Because of time constraints, each child may participate in only ONE act

·        Each act may not exceed three minutes in length

·        Acts and music must be age and school appropriate

·        Students must come to the first practice with an act prepared and ready to practice.  It does not have to be perfected but it must be put together and complete.

·        Practices end at 2:00 SHARP.  Students MUST be picked up on time.

·        We will provide a CD player and piano for practices.  We will provide a stage and sound system for the show.  Any additional props / instruments / music must be brought to every practice as well as to the show.

·        Students must attend four practices in order to participate in the show.  One of those four MUST be the dress rehearsal, which will be held immediately after school on Tuesday, May 13th.

·        Some ideas for talent show acts are singing, dancing, magic show, playing an instrument, or performing a play.

·        Practices are at 1:15 on the following Wednesdays:

April 2, April 9, April 23, April 30, May 7,

& Tuesday May 13 (required)
