Brrr…….Don’t Forget Your Coat!

This is a reminder to make sure your child wears his/her coat (or something warm) to school. Teachers and staff members typically remind students to wear jackets before going out to recess and in only extreme cases (short sleeve shirt on a really cold day…) will hold a student inside during this time. While I have your attention, it is also a good idea to make sure your child has his/her jacket when returning home. If a jacket or other clothing is left at school, it will likely be in our lost and found near the entrance of the cafeteria. If not there, check the halls, classrooms and playground.

Lake Washington Dental Hygienists' Society

is offering a preventative dental program Saturday, February 5, 2005 from 9 am until 4 pm. This program is in honor of National Children's Dental Health month. We will be providing dental sealants, exams, bitewing x-rays and fluoride varnish FREE OF CHARGE to children who would not otherwise be able to receive this cavity-prevention treatment.

Sealants are white coatings that are applied to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth. They are non-toxic and protect the teeth from cavities. This process is painless, can protect your child's teeth for 6-8 years, and can usually be placed in under an hour. Registered Dental Hygienists from the state of Washington will place the sealants on your child's teeth.

Since enrollment for this terrific opportunity is limited, please call the dental clinic at Lake Washington Technical College as soon as possible to make an appointment. The clinic phone number is: 425-739-8130, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
