Text Box: Yeah! We had another awesome Bennett Walkathon. The Bennett “Pirates Booty” totaled over $25,000. The kids were s so enthusiastic and many families stayed late to enjoy the BBQ and the company of their friends and children! Please be sure to request matching funds from your employer if they offer a Contribution Matching Program! These funds are the frosting on our Walkathon fundraising cake! Thanks so much to Mike Bussing, Carolyn Stanley and the entire Walkathon committee for your hard work, enthusiasm, and creativity! Job well done!
Our kids enjoyed a fun evening at Skate King on Wednesday, October 4th. The evening event was a new experiment at Bennett. We hope your student enjoyed hanging out with their friends and had their homework done! Our next Skate King student social will be held after school this winter.
The next Bennett PTSA meeting (on Tuesday, October 10th) is a Board Meeting which means standing committee chairs are required to attend. If you are an ad-hoc committee, you may skip this meeting. If you don’t know which one Text Box: you are, please attend and we will discuss what this means to you and Bennett PTSA.
We would like to personally invite you to join PTSA. Joining the PTSA makes an important statement that you are supporting the relationship between the teachers, staff, parents, and students of Bennett! The programs provided by the PTSA provide an enhanced educational experience for all of Bennett’s students! Your PTSA membership and your volunteer activities have helped Bennett become a top Bellevue Elementary School! Thanks for your continued enthusiasm and support!
As we move further into fall, we hope you and your family participate in the Family Math-Bingo Night on October 19th, Reflections Art Program, and annual Multicultural Potluck. We will have more information on these fun PTSA sponsored events. The next 2 Volunteer Training Classes are October 25th (10-11:00am) and November 2nd (4:30-5:30pm). Please bring your driver’s license to class! Thanks to everyone who attended classes so far. Have a fun October and Text Box: President’s Message By Jill Wagner & Kristine Keski
