Text Box: Welcome to Fall! This is more rain than even my lawn likes! Hopefully it means a good ski season! As always, at this time of year, please make sure your kids are dressed appropriately for the weather. With the lost and found filling up quickly, take a minute to put your child's name in their favorite sweatshirt, jacket, hat, etc.
Thanks in advance, to Chandra Bhattacharayya and the Multicultural Committee for planning the Multicultural Potluck tonight (FRIDAY 6:30 pm)! This event is always the best gauge for how amazingly small our world is becoming. I love the delicious assortment of international dishes prepared by Bennett families! The kids are usually curious and a little timid to really taste everything, which leaves more for the appreciative parents! The performances really remind us what creative and talented kids Bennett has. Thank you to all of the parents and students who shared their culture with fellow Bennett families!
The Walkathon has pretty much been put to bed for the year. If you have corporate matching available, please make sure to get the forms turned in to the Bennett office. We will process them for you! The Auction is the 2nd of our two major fundraising events, sponsored by the PTSA, each year. Our Auction is scheduled for March 24th, so save the date now! No family vacations please!! The classrooms will be decorating Adirondack chairs as their keepsakes and of course, classroom baskets
Text Box: will be planned during the winter. If you would like to get more involved in the PTSA, please contact Marian McDermott and offer to help on the Auction Committee. They are a fun group and many hands make for light work!
Finally, a big Thank You to Denice Malone! Denice has several hats on this year. She has updated and expanded our Friday Flyer Newsletter and she has instituted the OneCall Now phone message program (check out the last issue of the Friday Flyer if you the article explaining more about it or see the Quick Guide on page 2!). She promises to keep the messages short and informative. Denice's last hat is that of Membership Chair. Her efforts to get all of you to sign up for PTSA membership is paying off! Bennett has been recognized by the Bellevue PTSA Council for the increase in our Bennett PTSA membership. If you are not a member, please consider joining! The form is on the Bennett website at: www.bennettelementary.org . Thanks again Denice for all of your hard work!
Thanks everyone for making Bennett such a great place for our kids!
