About the PTSA

The Bennett Parent-Teacher-Student Association (PTSA) is a private, not-for-profit, self-governing membership association organized to advocate for children at Bennett and children in our community. The main purpose is to serve the needs and desires of its members in promoting education of children and youth in home, school, and community. The PTSA at Bennett works closely with school principals, teachers, and staff.

Our children at Bennett Elementary benefit greatly from the PTSA. There are two major fund raisers:  the Fall Walk-A-Thon and the Spring Auction. The funds PTSA raises help fund literacy, science, art and technology campaigns, field trips, assemblies, supplies and materials for teachers, and much more. However, the best value Bennett PTSA provides is showing students how much parents value their education by volunteering time and effort to the school. Parent volunteers can be found throughout Bennett assisting in classrooms, the library, the office, and leading after-school special events.

The Washington State PTA mission is building a better world for all children. The PTA has been an advocate for children, their rights to health, safety, education, and general welfare.

The National PTA is the largest volunteer child advocacy organization in the United States. The PTA is a leader in reminding our nation of its obligations to children. Its mission is to support and speak on behalf of children and youth, to assist parents in developing parenting skills, and to encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools.
